3. UNITED KINGDOM: €215 MILLION
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the third largest ever EuroMillions jackpot was won by a single ticket thanks to lucky EuroMillions results. The jackpot had not been won since March 18, so it kept rolling over. Thanks to robust ticket sales, the initial jackpot of €17 million grew to €215 million in just four weeks.
The Superdraw (Megadraw) scheduled for April 29 was postponed since the jackpot had become larger than the initial €130 million set for the Superdraw. It's likely that the next draw, which was on Friday the 13th if the €215 million prize hadn't been won, would have seen it grow to the €230 million jackpot ceiling.
